GAINING RESPECT 101

My reveries were interrupted by the sight of an old Malay man teetering on a curb carrying his lunch like a chest of gold bullion to his spot when he slipped and fell. My heart went to his food and tea splattered on the ground as the starving earth commanded a derisive scoff from a nearby middle class man eating by himself without any sympathy or appreciation to his mid day gymnastics. Swiftly, the old man straightened himself up followed by a guffaw, a result of not having to fuck the ground in public, with clothes on. I nodded in approval. Amused, it and made me think that if I were to fall flat in public, THIS is the benchmark, the flip, the style, the gracefulness, the performer in him and Tom Petty's Free Falling.

He ordered a new set of lunch, garnished with a reverent smile from me.

What a striking observation, a commentary on dignity and grace versus snobbery and self importance.

I love how you've taken something that others would have ignored and made it into something that is not ignored... if that makes sense?
Haha, nice job.

Your observational skills are astounding, but the way you record them are phenomenal.
